Wu Xiuyi (Joey)

Xiuyi Joey Wu is a designer from China and graduated from the Global Art Practice MFA program at Tokyo University of the Arts in Japan.

Prior to this, she graduated from the Communications Design department at Pratt Institute in New York, US and worked as a visual designer. Her experience as a designer broadened her breadth of artistic expression. Her majority of initiatives deal with societal concerns like attachment, cultural paradoxes, gender stereotypes, and educational issue. Her work is primarily digital and conceptual video-based, and she enjoys experimenting with different mediums to enable her audience to get immersed in her work.
