Python CodingWiener Dog is a generative book design project that investigates visual communication using the form of a sausage dog. I chose the dachshund—a lively, identifiable animal as the subject of a visual system that explores the connection between shape and communication. By examining its proportions and semantic associations, I created a Python coding based system that generates hundreds of a consistent structural logic.
The research project investigates how changing coordinates and parameters could produce unexpected results from a single source of inspiration. Each created shape maintains its connection to the original contour while providing different interpretations of pattern, balance, and abstraction. The resulting collection, presented in book form, documents both the technological process and the changing visual language that resulted from this investigation.
