Exhibition Visual
Event BrandingThis exhibition visual was created for Shared Campus Summer School, which is co-hosted by Tokyo University of the Arts and Shared Campus. The program gathered 30 students from universities in London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore, and Tokyo for two weeks of lectures, workshops, and artistic production.
The summer school, titled "Restless Tokyo," investigated the city's rapid transition during the vibrant and politically turbulent 1960s, utilizing Tokyo as a case study to reflect on broader social and cultural trends. The design direction is inspired by Tokyo's transportation and urban expansion at that point in time, which represented acceleration, modernism, and complexity. The primary graphic elements are based on historical transit maps, emphasizing both movement and layered time while also situating participants as travelers through history and contemporary reflection.
The project consists of both the summer school's key visuals and the design for the Open Studio show, where students shared the inspiration and process behind their art pieces. Each work addressed the era's art, culture, and political background, expressing its main goal of instilling historical understanding in modern artistic production.
